The RO acquires development plot for £2.45 million on Solstice Park in Wiltshire

The RO is pleased to announce the acquisition of a nine acre development plot that has been purchased for £2.45 million from Amesbury Property Company Limited. The site has the potential for industrial, distribution and trade counter units, and will benefit significantly from the A303 infrastructure improvements in a key regional gateway location.

Offering a range of development opportunities, the land is situated on Solstice Park, near Amesbury, in central southern England and in very close proximity to the RO’s existing restaurants assets acquired in 2013.

As commercial interest in the area grows this new development will provide a strategic location for businesses to develop their presence in an area providing good access to Southampton, Bristol and the broader South West of England.

This purchase continues the RO’s strategy for investing in target areas of the South of England such as Southampton and Bristol where the prospects for growth and development remain attractive. Additionally, the RO owns Metis Homes, operating across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire, which recently won the Gold Award at the WhatHouse awards for Best Small Housebuilder in the UK.

David Kershaw, General Manager, RO Real Estate commented:

"In a crowded market we believe that there remains opportunity to be found in regional investment, particularly as businesses look for well located, quality and affordable space. The south of England, where much of our strategic focus has been, continues to thrive. Bristol for example was just named the top Global Smart City, beating off competitors such as Dubai and New York, and we see significant long-term value and underlying potential in this and our other recent acquisitions.”

Not only is the Solstice Park site complementary to our existing assets in the area, but it secures an opportunity that will benefit significantly from the South West Expressway infrastructure improvements planned for in the coming years."
