The RO is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve White who joins the RO as Group Commercial Director.
Steve joins the RO from Grant Thornton Corporate Finance, where he was a Director, and one of the leaders of the Grant Thornton Corporate Finance Central team. He will primarily be based in the Group’s Potters Bar headquarters and will report to Group Managing Director Edward Rowlandson.
In his previous role at Grant Thornton, Steve spent time developing and leading the strategy of the firm in broader business development and ensuring Grant Thornton was engaged with both the commercial and public sectors. One of his key tasks, beyond the conventional transactional remit of a corporate financier, was to better understand and build relationships with clients over the longer term.
His team at Grant Thornton was the most active team in the region, winning the Advisory Team of the Year in each of the six years to 2017 at the Regional Insider Dealmakers Awards. His primary focus was mid-market private company M&A and fund raising transactions, typically in the £3m to £50m range.
He was also a member of the executive leadership team for Milton Keynes, Northampton and St Albans offices, with a specific responsibility for Grant Thornton's markets activities in the region.
