Waste Management Specialist Sweeps up Space at Milton Keynes’ Greenest Office Building

RO Real Estate is proud to announce another letting at Silbury House, Central Milton Keynes’ most sustainable office building. Hoban Limited, a leading provider of waste management, recycling and disposal services throughout the UK and Europe, commits to a six-year lease for a fully fitted and furnished ground floor office.

Hoban’s move follows the recent long-term letting agreement with Topps Europe, the global collectibles brand and household name, who took over the top two floors of the building earlier this year. Silbury House is also home to internationally recognised occupiers, Tickets.com and Scottsdale Lifetime Partners, reaffirming its position as one of the most attractive destinations for ambitious businesses in Milton Keynes.

With Hoban moving in, Silbury House is near full occupation; a true testament to the building’s outstanding sustainability credentials, prime location and appeal to modern occupiers that recognise the importance of employee wellbeing on the success of a business. With only one office suite now remaining, the opportunity for businesses to join a high-spec, eco-conscious workspace in the heart of the city is now extremely limited.

Through this renovation project, RO Real Estate has shown its commitment to sustainability from design to operation, with an attention to detail that runs through every aspect of the building. Completed in 2024, the Silbury House has achieved leading sustainability and wellbeing credentials including EPC A, BREEAM Outstanding, NABERS 5 Star, RESET Air Quality, Fitwel 3 Stars and the WELL Performance Rating. The project has also been recognised by the industry, earning nominations for Sustainability Initiative of the Year and Developer of the Year at the Property Week Awards.

Ed Davidson, Asset Management Director at RO Real Estate, commented:

“We’ve been long term investors and believers in Milton Keynes due to its strategic location and access London, Oxford and Cambridge. As a business with a 90-year history, we have lived through many cycles, but the shift towards sustainable development is the most significant yet. It has reshaped our approach across the Group and reinforced our focus on creating long-term value in a responsible way.

“The success that we’ve had so far at Silbury House has vindicated our view both on the location and our highly sustainable approach to the refurbishment.

“We are proud to be leading the way on sustainability in Milton Keynes and delighted to welcome Hoban to an ecosystem that shares our commitment to preserving our planet’s future.”
