CHALLENGE
Welcome to the new RO Energy Efficiency Challenge, aiming to help you save energy, cut carbon and save money.
As a landlord of multiple commercial buildings, we are committed to promoting sustainability and reducing energy consumption. This competition aims to encourage tenants to actively participate in energy-saving initiatives and contribute to a greener environment.
By working together, we can positively contribute towards our net-zero ambitions and achieve our mutual goal in reducing negative environmental impact.
Competition Details

Duration:
12-month period starting from 1st July 2024
​
Tenant Energy Efficiency Challenge
Eligibility: All tenants will be automatically enrolled unless they opt out by specifically requesting not to participate.
Building vs. Building competition
Each building is automatically enrolled.
Scoring​
​
For the Tenant Energy Efficiency Challenge, winners will be determined based on the percentage reduction in electricity consumption, compared to the baseline consumption, during the competition period.
​
For the Building vs. Building competition the winner will be determined based on the overall percentage reduction in electricity consumption compared to other participating buildings.
​
Progress leaderboards will be issued monthly.
Prizes​
​
Tenant Energy Efficiency Challenge
The tenants with the highest percentage reduction in electricity consumption will be awarded:
​
1st prize: £100 per staff member based in the office, up to a maximum of £3,000
2nd prize: £50 per staff member based in the office, up to a maximum of £1,500
3rd prize: £25 per staff member based in the office, up to a maximum of £750
​
Building vs. Building
The building achieving the greatest reduction in overall electricity consumption will be recognised and awarded:
Winner: £7,500 investment in the building provided by the RO.
Competition Start Date: 1st July 2024
End Date: 30th June 2025
​Terms & Conditions
Tenants will not be eligible if they vacate their premises within the 12-month competition period.
Improvements made to the building that enhance energy efficiency will be accounted for.
