This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance team of the RO Group which is a dynamic, diverse and entrepreneurial family business operating with integrity and care.

You will be key to enhancing the Group’s efficiency and effectiveness by assisting the finance team in ensuring reporting and management information is produced accurately and on a timely basis. You will be involved in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, month end and year end journals and provide detailed cost analysis reports, variance analysis with appropriate explanation. You will also:

• Assist with the preparation of service charge accounts

• Assist in the preparation of year end procedures

• Provide ad hoc reporting as required

• Assist in the preparation of monthly papers

• Cover for fellow team members, which may include processing of invoices and other reporting as required

• Banking duties as required

• Utilise technology to aid efficiency wherever possible.

About you​

• You would have either a professional accounting qualification or proven relevant experience in a similar role

• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office apps and accounting packages

• An understanding of all aspects of CIS and VAT returns

• Strong communications, research and project management skills

• Strong business and commercial acumen with a clear understanding of the finance industry trends and regulations

• A self-starter with the ability to multitask and operate effectively as part of a small friendly team

• Passionate and enthusiastic about the businesses we are involved in

• Curiosity and a willingness to engage in diverse areas of the business

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to analyse and understand relevant and valuable information

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Presentation and reporting skills.
